One of the phrases on the St Benedict medal is, “Satan, drink your own poison!” Apparently, St Benedict’s petition called for evil to drink itself to death as well as eat itself.
Great to remind ourselves of this reality - evil will collapse of its own weight ultimately but in the meantime, can bring massive destruction and suffering Especially when the freedom that’s given us in Christ see second Corinthians 3 and 4 is forcefully squeezed but it also means we who are Christians need to stand firm the power of his might.
