It's in the pit that most lessons are truly learned. And when Jesus pulls you out of that miry clay, from being a meth head tweaking out in a Motel 6, or a dancer selling skin for cash, you learn the absolute truth of the gospel and you know the absolute lie of the woke one.
( this poem is dedicated to my dear friends who have walked this lonely road)
I've tasted hell's own brew, smoked Satan's pipe,
Felt my soul rot while my body turned to tripe.
Motel rooms and back alleys were my home,
Till Christ reached down and claimed me as His own.
These trailer park streets, they know my shame,
Every gravel crunch whispers my old name.
But now I walk 'em straight, head held high,
My kids watching, learning how a man should fly.
I've seen the world's filth, wallowed in its muck,
Thought I was living free, but I was stuck.
Now I'm truly free, though the world calls me slave,
Cause I know the truth - it's Christ alone who saves.
This rusty kingdom of double-wides and dreams,
It ain't pretty, but it's holier than it seems.
'Cause here's where real folk fight their daily war,
Against a world that's rotten to its core.
My hands that once shook for another hit,
Now hold my babies, teaching them grit.
In this place where hope comes to die,
We're raising warriors for Christ, aiming sky-high.
So listen up, you peddlers of woke lies,
You ain't fooling those with clear eyes.
We've seen your promised land, and it's a sham,
We choose instead to follow the Lamb.
From these trailer steps to heaven's gate,
We're marching on, seal your fate.
Our kids ain't buying what you're selling,
'Cause we're teaching truth, not your rebel yelling.
So Lord, as night falls on this patch of Your earth,
Where I found death, then new birth,
Use this ex-junkie, this living proof,
To show these kids Your saving truth.
In this world of tin cans and broken dreams,
We're building a fortress, or so it seems.
A legacy of faith, raw and real,
Straight from the pit, Your love to reveal.
Really liked that one! Very thought full!
Although, I haven’t walked that journey I have seen many who could use this hope🙏🏼❤️
